Today, on Mom to Mom, homemade laundry soap is easier than you think.

If you’re like me, you’re tired of having to always go to the store for laundry detergent, plus it’s really expensive. So today we have a homemade recipe of laundry detergent that’ll last you twice as long and half the cost. So, what you’re going to need to make this, is Borax Laundry Booster. Then you’re going to need some Arm and Hammer Super Washing Soda, and this weird thing right here, I’ve never actually seen it before, but it is called Fels-Naptha and it’s a laundry bar and stain remover, so it helps with the laundry detergent altogether. It’s the key ingredient, so you want to make sure that you get this, and you can find it at Walmart and it’s fairly inexpensive.

You’re going to need about a cup of each, the Borax and the Arm and Hammer. Mix that into a bowl, then you’re going to take your bar of Fels-Naptha and grate that on the smallest side of the grater. You’re going to do about half the bar into the mixture. Once you’re done with that, mix it all together, and you’ve got your laundry detergent.

You can store this in anything you like. I found this really cute container, but the important thing is that you’re making it yourself and you’re saving money. Moms, if you have any wonderful ingredients to add to this recipe, feel free to reach out to us on our Facebook page and we’ll see you on the next Mom to Mom.
